2700 miles and landing in Long Beach

Tonight we made it into Long Beach at about 6:30pm after a full week of driving. Some 2700 miles of driving has worn on us. Fortunately the Deatons let the kids get wet in their pool and we had steaks for dinner...a good time to relax after a looooong week.

Tomorrow we'll be swapping houses. We'll stay in their new house tonight on the floor, and tomorrow they'll move in here with their beds and all. We'll move into our house (their old one) and begin to paint!

2300 miles and leaving Phoenix

Sunday about 1pm we left from Phoenix toward our new home in Long Beach.

We had a blast with the robinson's for a day or so in Phoenix.

1900 miles and Grand Canyon

Last night we made it into Tuba City, AZ about 9 pm local (MT) time after racking up 1900 miles since Monday. This morning we are off to the Grand Canyon. We are already excited about the views...and haven't been there yet.

We saw some amazing rock formations, mountains, canyons and more on our drive from Colorado through Utah and to Northern Arizona. A bunch of those will get posted below...when we get to a spot to slow down some more.

Just wanted to keep you all up to speed. Thanks to the Lord for safety in travels for us...and for keeping the van together too!

Had a great time with the fam in the mountains. Enjoyed a day of playing and shopping in Breckenridge and enjoying Mary's Mountain Cookies along with the amazing hospitality of the Wilson's.

In Colorado

At 3 pm Mountain time, we made it into CO after a whole day spent driving through Kansas. Safe and sound so far. a little over 1100 miles down so far.
